Week 1 of the NHL season is almost complete, as Trevor and Brooks look back at the Lightning’s first two games and take a look at the week ahead. The guys talk about which players have impressed them the most, how the team has rebounded after slow starts in their first two games, reminisce on the career of Vinny Lecavalier (who is being honored by the team), and discuss what the Lightning could end up doing once Ryan Callahan is back in the lineup.

Since a young age I have always loved sports, first it was growing up in Montville, Connecticut and dreaming I was Don Mattingly playing first base for the Yankees. But when I relocated with my parents in 1989 to Tampa, Florida my sports bug got even worse. In 1992 my father took me to the Tampa Bay Lightning's first ever Fan Fest at the Fairgrounds Expo Hall. A few short months later I would watch the Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Minnesota North Stars in their first ever game, from that point on I was hooked on hockey.

In November of 2013 I made a huge decision and attended the Connecticut School of Broadcasting's Tampa Campus to hopefully get into sports radio. Shortly after graduating I took an internship with 620 WDAE and then got a job with 98.7 The Fan. I was with the Fan until the station flipped formats. Since then I have been hard at work focusing on The Scrum Sports while working at 102.5 The Bone in promotions.

I have had the pleasure of covering the Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the USF Bulls football team.
