The Scrumdown: WWE News & Rumors

Tables Ladders & Chairs (TLC) will take place on October 22. It will be the last main roster pay per view before Survivor Series for Raw and SmackDown. So far, the only confirmed matches are:

Raw Women’s Title: Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Mickie James

Handicap Match: The Shield vs The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, and Braun Strowman

It’s suspected that Neville has quit WWE. Rumors surfaced that he walked out before this week’s episode of Raw and requested his release. He was slated to face Enzo Amore in this past Monday’s Raw in a lumberjack match but his disappearance forced Kalisto into the match. WWE is denying that Neville indeed quit so far. If Neville is indeed out, it’ll be a big blow to 205 Live and WWE as well, as Neville is one of the best all around talents in WWE. According to various outlets, The King of the Cruiserweights has been unhappy about Enzo getting such a big push so soon since coming to 205 Live. Enzo’s disruptive presence behind the scenes on the roster, which caused him to be sent to 205 Live in the first place, is another sticking point. He has also been upset about being left out of the WrestleMania 33 DVD. Neville may not be alone in his apparent exodus. He may well have sparked a mass walkout. According to a report from Joe Lanza, of Voices of Wrestling, there are several other wrestlers are also looking to leave WWE. These as of yet unnamed wrestlers are also reputed to be looking to Cody Rhodes for advice on how to devise an exit plan.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE was subpoenaed by Samantha Rotunda for the disclosure of financial records. She is the estranged wife of Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda). The couple is getting divorced due to the alleged affair between Bray and Raw ring announcer Jojo Offerman. WWE has yet to fully comply as only having disclosed 1099s, booking contract and some licensing contracts thus far.

The Miz will return to host The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars. MTV has announced the fourth season of the hit show will debut November 21. Former WWE Diva, Cameron, will among the competitors.

Ronda Rousey is further fueling speculation about her WrestleMania debut. The former UFC female bantamweight champion was coy when asked by TMZ about the rumor as she and her husband, UFC’s Travis Browne, were in an airport. Travis is also reputed to be possibly looking into jumping in as well.

Former TNA Knockout Madison Rayne may be coming to WWE. According to PWInsider.com, she has been seen at WWE’s Orlando training facility earlier this week. This adds to speculation that began when she was seen backstage at a television taping in Nashville, Tennessee this past summer.

Ricochet may be heading to WWE. The former NJPW star gave an emotional “Thank you” speech to fans and New Japan Pro Wrestling after NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling show on October 9th. He was known as Prince Puma in Lucha Underground and went to NJPW after his contract expired in July.

The Big Show tweeted his progress after recent hip surgery. He’s already back in the gym less than three weeks after the procedure.

WWE released writer/producer Jimmy Jacobs last after he posted an Instagram picture with himself and The Bullet Club during their “Raw Invasion” episode of their YouTube show, Being the Elite. According to reports fromf4wonline.com and prowrestlingsheet.com, there are still unknown factors behind the decision, which was made by Vince McMahon himself. It’s not the first time that there’s been heat from WWE regarding the The Bullet Club. The Young Bucks were sent “cease and desist” letters regarding their use of the “Too sweet” gesture, that was made famous by Degeneration X (DX) very recently, which they lampooned. The firing is a big loss for the WWE Creative. Jimmy was heavily or solely responsible for the creation of the successful Kevin Owens & Chris Jericho storyline on Raw.

Brock Lesnar isn’t slated to face anyone for TLC but he’s rumored to be facing Jinder Mahal at Survivor Series in a nontitle match that may be the main event. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there’s been talk of the match happening instead of Brock facing Finn Balor for the belt and Jinder facing AJ Styles at the pay per view.
